I began capturing photos in earnest about 7 years ago. It all began when my wife asked for a digital SLR camera for her birthday. I thought it would be a good idea to include a "how to" book with the camera. She received the camera just fine but not so much the book, handing it back to me with the comment, "You read the book and tell me how to use this thing!" The rest is history.

Since then I've focused primarily on Portraiture and Sports with a little Landscape and Architectural photography thrown in on the side. I am based in Dubuque, Iowa, where everyone comes to begin a photography career :)
